How It’s Made

Fine bone china is a special type of porcelain made with bone ash, feldspar, and kaolin. The 30% bone ash makes it possible to create thin, delicate-looking pieces that are still durable and resistant to chips. It’s lighter and thinner than regular porcelain.

This mug goes through three firings. In the final step, Charlotte’s alpaca design is fused with the varnish to create a lasting finish.
