Maekake Icon – Lucky Pattern, Sea Bream
This is an apron from the lucky crest series. In Japanese, it is called “medetai” and is often seen at celebratory occasions.
Aprons are traditional work wear that have been used since the Edo period.
It tightens the hip bones and protects the body.
Our aprons: Woven on a 100-year-old Toyota shuttle loom.
Material: 100% cotton
Size: 67 cm x 47 cm (including fringe) / Waist strap: 260 cm (fits waist sizes up to 95 cm)
Care Instructions:
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not wash with hot water.
- Please wash separately from white clothes as the dye may transfer to other fabrics. Due to the nature of the fabric, it may shrink slightly after washing.
