Madeleine de Souvré, better known as the Marquise de Sablé, introduced the petit sablé to the court of the great Condé in July 1670. She introduced the king’s brother to a multitude of small, round cookies, which won him over. Petit Sablé was born. It’s this history that is reflected in the good taste of our genuine Petits Sablés made with pure fresh butter.
